Great Isaiah Scroll
The Great Isaiah Scroll dates from about 100 BCE and is the oldest surviving complete book of the Bible. It was discovered in 1947 amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls. Examine the Great Isaiah Scroll, scrolling through all of it. Use the magnifying glass and closely examine part of it. What are the characteristics of the scroll which stand out to you?
 
Aleppo Codex
Read introduction and examine the Aleppo Codex, I suggest looking at Deuteronomy 32, and zooming in to closely exam the manuscript. Notice especially the unique manner in which this poem is laid out here by the Masoretes who produced it. What are the characteristics of the manuscript which stand out to you? The oldest complete Masoretic Hebrew Bible is the Leningrad Codex.

Oldest Fragment of the New Testament
Read about a fragment of the Gospel according to John. Click on the buttons to see enlargements of the fragment and study it closely. What are the characteristics of the manuscript which stand out to you?
 
Sinaiticus
Read the introduction to the Sinaiticus Codex, and check out a couple of the link for more information. Now, go to Psalm 23 and examine them closely using the magnifying device. What are the characteristics of the manuscript which stand out to you? Codex Vaticanus (page with end of 2 Thess and beginning of Heb) dates to the fourth century CE, sharing some similar readings with Sinaiticus.
 
The Gutenberg Bible
Take a look at the Gutenberg Bible, enlarging it and studying it. When was it produced, and what is its significance?
