Long Plus in Masoretic Version of Jeremiah The account of the fall of Jerusalem in Jer 46 LXX (=39 MT) is oriented around the prophet’s personal circumstances. The version of the fall of Jerusalem in Jer 39 MT is focused more on the fate of the city, thus the MT addition in 39:4-13 serves to connect things used elsewhere in Jeremiah.
