Read Prov 3:10-20; 8:1-9:6; 31:10-31; Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 1:1-30; 4:11-31; 6:18-37; 14:20-2715:1-10; 24:1-22; Wisdom of Solomon 6:12-10:21; Baruch 3:9-374:1-4; Matt 11:19, 25-30 (cf. Sir 51:23-28; Jn 3:35; 10:14-15; 13:3; 17:25).
 
How are the scriptural ideals of wisdom interpreted, developed, and applied in the various postbiblical poetic writings? What most surprised you in this reading? What was the relationship of the law and wisdom and why is this important? How does this set of traditions inform us about second temple Judaic thought?
